Your guide to using the Citi Mobile® App

Thanks to technology, it has never been easier for you to monitor and manage your money. Mobile banking apps have become the digital platform of choice for customers – thanks to added value and convenience they offer.

The Citi Mobile® App is a prime example as an innovative banking solution that continues to be enhanced in line with the changing needs of customers. The free-to-download app is loaded with value-added features and tools that help customers manage their accounts from anywhere and at any time.

One of the best things about this app is the freedom and flexibility it gives users to handle pretty much all of their financial matters. Not only does this help customers save time and money, but it also helps them track and take full control of their finances.

Innovative features at your fingertips

The app uses push notifications to help customers stay informed about important transactions. For example, an account holder will get an automatic alert letting them know when a check has cleared, when a payment is due, or when their balance has fallen below a set threshold.

Payments made simple

Built into the Citi Mobile® App, the new Citi PayAll feature allows you to pay rent, education, professional fee and others to any UAE account which normally cannot be paid using your credit card. When using the feature, it only takes seconds to schedule one-time or recurring payments.

On the Citi Mobile® App, you can also redeem your points/miles with the Pay With Points feature if you want to pay for any eligible transaction conducted on your Citi credit card. Cardholders have 60 days after making a purchase to use their points to offset the transactions and receive the statement credit.

If you’re an iPhone user, you’ll be glad to know that you can use the Citi Mobile® app to add your Citi MasterCard credit card to Apple Pay. This can be done easily by accessing the Cards setting section, selecting the card to be added, and clicking on "Add to Apple Pay" button. Once the card is successfully added, you can use Apple Pay for in-store or online (in-app or merchant website) transactions wherever Apple Pay is accepted.

Added security

The Citi Mobile® App uses the latest technologies to ensure the highest security standards. Account holders can log in using their fingerprints or Face ID instead of entering their passwords every time, or running the risk of keeping their passwords saved on their devices.

Using the built in Citi Mobile® Token feature, you can generate a One-Time PIN (OTP) for your Citibank online and Citi Mobile® transactions, as an alternative to other authentication methods such as the Online Security Device, or One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS, providing an added level of security.

What else can I do on the app?

You’ll also be glad to know that you can change your credit cards ATM PIN without visiting a bank branch or ATM. All you have to do is click the ATM PIN Change from the options menu and select the card to get a new PIN number.

The Easy Payment Plan feature on the app allows you to convert a transaction amount made on your Citi credit card into smaller monthly installments.

Overall, the smart and convenient features on this app make it worth the space on your Smartphone. The app is an ideal choice for tech-savvy customers who prefer to keep track of their money when they’re on-the-go. The Citi Mobile® App is available for download on Apple’s App Store and Google Play store.
